The best way to ensure that your Dead Air Armament Muzzle Device is properly installed and timed is to use a Muzzle Device alignment kit, like this shim kit. This particular shim kit from dead air armament is designed for barrel with a 1/2x28 thread pitch. Composed of three different shim thicknesses you can rest easy that you will have the muzzle device timed properly. Pro Tip: Always place the thickest shim(s) on the barrel first.
